These are such fun to make... I have more made already and now just have to figure out my borders around each block then the outside border and I will have my quilt done!

I made the legs and comb so they are dangling free from the quilt - each has batting in them then turned so there are no raw edges. For the rest of the chickens and eggs I used the pattern to cut my fabric and a piece of batting to the same shape/size and then layed it in place with batting first then the fabric on top and top stitched around the edge about 1/4 inch in leaving the raw edges to fray when washed... it is a very easy and fun technique. I glued eyes on (they are actually cats eyes I found online and removed the stem from the back so it would lay flat when glued in place).
