Well... This has been a
challenge. My husband and I have looked at the below
star pattern and tried to make it work. After 3
hours of scratch paper being thrown in a heap... he finally
came up with a pattern that would not take anything away
from the signature squares. He then came up with
the idea of using the above flowers (Friendship
Flower) made from Yo-yo's in the
shape of a heart (Friendship Heart)
around the boarder of the quilt. The very center
will have signature squares with a circle (Friendship
Circle) pattern of Yo-yo's around
them.
The entire quilt will be 80 signature squares with
the flower, heart or circle design and with 56 squares
to shape the diamonds between the signature squares.
All together there will be 32 Friendship
Hearts, 8 Friendship Wreaths and 40 Friendship
Flowers... The total size of the quilt will be
a little smaller than a king size or just at a king size
depending on what I do with the outside boarder(s).
